Effective risk and opportunity management is key to institutional resilience, accountability, and strategic growth. On October 23, the Good Grant Practice Virtual Academy (GGP-VA) hosted an insightful webinar on Developing Risk and Opportunity Registers, guiding participants through a step-by-step process for identifying, assessing, and managing both potential threats and emerging opportunities.
The session unpacked how a well-designed register supports evidence-informed decision-making, resource optimization, and performance assurance across programs and projects. Participants also learned practical approaches for assigning management responsibilities, developing treatment plans, and instituting monitoring and review mechanisms.
