My name is Austine Phiri, a Head of Department and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Information Science at Mzuzu University in Malawi. I am also a final-year PhD student at the University of South Africa in the field of Information Science with a focus on medical records and medical data. I have more than seven years of progressive experience in project and programme management in the areas of research, open science, data management, data curation, records management, archives management, and library science. I have managed projects in Malawi and South Africa funded by Malawi Government and African Development Bank.
