Emilly

Emilly Owiti is a strategic leader and scholar with over a decade of experience in strategic communications, policy advocacy, project design and implementation, and research. She currently serves as the Senior Communication Officer at the African Women Studies Centre of the University of Nairobi ( UoN) where she is also a part-time Lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Management Science. She has previously served as the Communications, Policy Advocacy, and Knowledge Manager at the UoN’s Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) Hub and independent consultant, currently a PhD Researcher in Project Planning and Management, specializing in project planning, design, and implementation. Her research interests are leadership, gender, women’s economic empowerment, water and sanitation, project design and Gender-Responsive Social Behavior Change Communication.
