Short bio

My research interests lie at the intersection of community development, public health, and social equity, with a particular focus on how data-driven insights can inform inclusive and sustainable policy interventions. Through my field experiences with organizations such as DanChurch Aid

Kenya and Research PLUS Africa, I have developed a deep appreciation for participatory research methods and the importance of culturally sensitive approaches in capturing authentic personal and community narratives.

Having worked extensively in the South Rift region (across different counties like Nakuru, Kericho, Bomet, Narok, and Laikipia), I have conducted qualitative interviews, key informant discussions, and participant observations to assess programs related to youth employment, health access, and community well-being. These engagements have sharpened my ability to identify meaningful patterns in qualitative data and translate them into actionable reports. I am especially drawn to research that explores grassroots perspectives on development initiatives, health interventions, and socio-economic change.

My short-term goal is to contribute to high-impact research projects that prioritize community voice and ethical fieldwork. I am particularly interested in opportunities that allow me to refine

my skills in transcription, qualitative data analysis, and research dissemination while working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. Long-term, I aspire to lead community-based research that informs public policy and bridges the gap between research findings and real-world implementation.

My long-term goal is to continue growing as a skilled, ethical, and insightful researcher who supports evidence-based solutions that respond to the needs and aspirations of marginalized populations. Therefore, I aspire to contribute to the activities of APHRC one day when called upon in whatever capacity.
