I am Phillimon Mtila Banda, a Malawian social work graduate (B.S.W., DMI St. John the Baptist University, 2019) passionate about public health research and community development. My research interests centre on HIV/AIDS and TB prevention, vertical transmission, adolescent viral load management, school violence against children, and social protection for vulnerable populations. Through roles as Research Assistant with Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (2024–2025) and the Center for Educational Research & Training (2024), I have conducted interviews, electronic data collection (SurveyCTO, Tangerine, RedCap, Kobo), and high-quality reporting while upholding strict ethical standards (recent CITI Human Subjects Research certification under IPA, March 2026
Although I have not yet participated in APHRC or CARTA Virtual Academies, I am eager to engage actively through this Grant Writing Community of Practice.
