Vivien

My name is Vivien, and I recently graduated with a degree in Law. My research interests focus on gender equality, human rights, and health, particularly examining how legal and policy frameworks can be strengthened to address issues such as access to education, gender-based violence, and protection of vulnerable groups. My experience through legal aid clinics, community outreach, and mentoring has deepened my commitment to using research and advocacy as tools for social change.

Within the APHRC and CARTA Virtual Academies, my role is to actively engage with peers and mentors, contribute to collaborative discussions, and strengthen my research capacity. I am especially keen on learning how interdisciplinary approaches can be applied to address Africa’s most pressing social and health challenges, while also sharing insights from my legal and gender equality background to enrich the collective work.
