| Short bio | BIO-BLURB; Asibuku Jafari is my name, Decent Work and Social Protection Field Officer-Enabel, Gender and Inclusion Focal Point, Belgian Development Agency, A social Worker by Profession. Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social Administration from Makerere University, a Post Graduate diploma in Project Planning and Management from IUIU-Uganda, and currently pursuing a master’s in Business Administration-Management from Kampala International University. I have 8 years of experience and successfully implemented 8 projects, in Gender, WASH, Child Protection, Education, Livelihood and Food, and Decent Work and Social Protection. Before Enabel, I worked with World Vision as a Project Officer in GBV and CP, DRC, as a GBV protection assistant. I have skills and experience in leadership and communication skills, Decent work, Training facilitation, proposal writing, Monitoring and Evaluation, People & Project Management partnership and coordination skills and Advocacy skills. My Research Interests are on generating evidence and influencing policy in areas such as: · Health and Well-being (Saving for health and community-based health Insurance). · Population Dynamics (fertility, migration, ageing, social protection ) · Data and Technology for Development. · Gender, development and Human rights. Role in Virtual Academy: · Take courses on policy engagement and data analysis to strengthen my ability to translate field data into actionable policy recommendations. · Join the Community of Practice to network with researchers working on poverty alleviation and livelihoods. · Participate in Grant Management & Leadership courses, which will help me manage Enabel partners on operational agreements and grants effectively, and also be critical for scaling IGAs. · Take on other thematic courses in health, gender, data science, grant management, and leadership.
