I am Dr. Mustafa Alhaji Isa, the Editor-in-Chief of the Arid Zone Journal of Basic and Applied Research at Borno State University, Nigeria. This journal is a multi-disciplinary, double-blinded peer-reviewed, Open Access Journal and is the official publication of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun, Nigeria. My background is in hearing and speech sciences and I posses a PhD in Public health.
I am Dr. Gebi Husein Jima, currently working at Arsi University as a teacher, researcher, advisor/mentor, consultant, and different academic administrator. I have received a BSC in Public Health Nursing from the Faculty of Health at Haramaya University, then Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Jimma University College of Public Health and Medical Sciences. I again have received a PhD degree in Public Health from the University of Groningen, University Medical Centre Groningen, the Netherlands. In my role as a teacher, I have been teaching public health courses, mostly epidemiology, research methods, and biostatistics. My research is mostly in the areas of maternal and child health and nutrition, and I have over 23 publications in the area.
I am Maleda Tefera Ifa, an Assistant Professor at Haramaya University since November 2023 and the Editorial Manager of the East African Journal of Health and Biomedical Sciences. I hold a Ph.D. in maternal and child health nursing and an MSc in Pediatric and Child Health Nursing.
I am Dr. Zeleke Deressa from Ambo University, Ethiopia, specializing in condensed matter physics with a focus on materials theory studies using density functional methods. My research primarily explores diluted magnetic semiconductors and superconductors, and I have strong expertise in performing first-principles ab initio simulations with quantum mechanical software packages such as VASP and Quantum ESPRESSO. Currently, I serve as the Director of Library Services at Ambo University, managing academic resources to support research, teaching, and learning.
