I am Brian Thulani, an aspiring public policy and development practitioner with a background in international relations, security studies, and program management. My research interests are in climate governance, development policy, peacebuilding, and the intersection between human rights and sustainable development. I am particularly interested in how evidence-based research can shape policy decisions that address social and economic inequalities while supporting inclusive growth in Africa.
Within the APHRC and CARTA Virtual Academies, my role is to engage in knowledge exchange, contribute to discussions that strengthen research and policy linkages, and build networks with peers and experts across disciplines. I see this as a platform to sharpen my research skills, broaden my understanding of emerging development challenges, and collaborate on initiatives that can have a real impact at both national and regional levels.
