My name is Tawanda Makusha. I am a Social and Public Health Specialist and who currently serves as a Senior Research Associate in the Clinical Research Department at the Africa Health Research Institute. I hold a PhD in Gender Education from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. My major contributions are within fatherhood research, mainly focusing on masculinities, fatherhood, and male involvement in maternal and child health in the first 1000 days; early childhood development; the impact of poverty and HIV and AIDS on children and families. I am currently enrolled in the Online Research Grant Writing Training for Early and Mid-Career Researchers in Africa - Track for PhD holders.
