My name is Susan Omondi. I have a background in Strategic Management and have worked in logistics, business development, administration, and field data collection. Now, I am a Data Science and Engineering Fellow. Spending time on the ground with communities and businesses showed me how often decisions are made without solid evidence, and that pushed me toward data.
I’m interested in how people make economic and everyday choices in Africa, and how these choices relate to access, pricing, and changing urban lifestyles. I want to understand what actually drives behavior, not just what reports say.
In the APHRC and CARTS Virtual Academics, I’m here to build stronger research and data skills and contribute from a practical, systems-focused perspective. My goal is to move into research work that’s clear, useful, and actually applied in real settings.
