I am a researcher, policy analyst and trainer in the fields of health and development. I have grown over the years through various professional roles undertaken in several consultancy projects for multiple clients drawn mostly from Kenya as well as other parts of Africa. Through this work, I gained expertise in project management, policy analysis and drafting, proposal writing, field research supervision, data management and workshop facilitation. I have also accumulated vast knowledge and skills across diverse professional niche areas including health systems management, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH); health and nutrition; disaster management, Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH); training and capacity building and strategic planning. Some of the clients I have offered consultancy services to include the Kenya government (both national and county levels), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), African Population and Health Research Centre (APHRC), World Vision International, East Africa Community (EAC) Secretariat, Amref Health Africa, USAID’s Western Kenya Sanitation Project (WKSP), Kenya Community Development Foundation (KCDF), National Aids Control Council (NACC), Practical Action, Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), Nairobi Rivers Commission (NRC) among others.My ambition is to contribute to work that advances the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). My career motivation is influenced by a desire to generate research evidence for professional application and incorporation of rights- based, inclusive and participatory approaches to implementing sustainable development.
