Short bio
I am a Demographer, Social Statistician, and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Specialist with over 10 years of experience working across health, education, and community development programs in Nigeria. My work focusses on strengthening data management systems, improving evidence generation, and supporting data-driven decision-making for development programs. I have extensive experience in quantitative research, survey design, data quality assurance, and advanced data analysis using platforms such as SPSS, STATA, Power BI, DHIS2, etc. My research interests lie in population health, reproductive and maternal health, adolescent and your sexual and reproductive health, and use of data and analytics to inform policy and program improvement, particularly in fragile and resource-constrained settings. I am particularly interested in how robust monitoring and evaluation systems can enhance program effectiveness and accountability. Through the APHRC and CARTA Virtual Academics, I hope to engage in continuous learning and collaborative research aimed at strengthening research capacity in Africa. My participation will allow me to deepen my methodological skills, connect with a network of African scholars, and contribute to evidence generation that address pressing public health and development challenges across the continent.
