    <p class=”p1″>I am Dr. Wondimye Ashenafi Cheru from Ethiopia. I hold a PhD in Public Health and an MSc in Population Studies. Currently, I work as a senior researcher at the Ethiopian Public Health Institute, focusing on national research prioritization, burden of disease estimation, evidence translation for policy, and grant writings. For 13 years, I taught at Haramaya University and coordinated the Kersa HDSS project. As a 2016 ADDRF fellow at APHRC, I conducted my dissertation research on Violence Against Women, and have current interests in population dynamics, family health, VAW, fertility and reproduction, as well as issues on migration. My area of specialization is teacher education and, specifically, mathematics education. I have been a co-PI in a Spencer Foundation-Funded research grant. I am interested in honing my skills in grant writing in the areas of social sciences and education.
