<p class=”p1″>I am Dr. Wondimye Ashenafi Cheru from Ethiopia. I hold a PhD in Public Health and an MSc in Population Studies. Currently, I work as a senior researcher at the Ethiopian Public Health Institute, focusing on national research prioritization, burden of disease estimation, evidence translation for policy, and grant writings. For 13 years, I taught at Haramaya University and coordinated the Kersa HDSS project. As a 2016 ADDRF fellow at APHRC, I conducted my dissertation research on Violence Against Women, and have current interests in population dynamics, family health, VAW, fertility and reproduction, as well as issues on migration.
