Short bio
I am a Resource Mobilization Officer at the Regional Leadership Centre East Africa (RLC EA), with over a decade of experience supporting research, policy engagement, and capacity strengthening initiatives. My professional background spans grant management, programme coordination, and research uptake, with a strong focus on translating evidence into policy and practice. I previously worked with the Kenyatta University Womenβs Economic Empowerment (KU-WEE) Hub, where I coordinated multi-partner research and advocacy initiatives, organized high-level policy dialogues, and contributed to knowledge products aimed at influencing gender and economic policy.
My research interests lie at the intersection of gender equality, economic empowerment, and community-driven development, with a growing focus on mental health and social inclusion within vulnerable populations. I am particularly interested in how evidence-based interventions can strengthen systems, inform policy, and improve development outcomes in African contexts.
Within the APHRC and CARTA Virtual Academies, I contribute to strengthening research capacity and knowledge dissemination by supporting coordination, partnerships, and engagement processes. My role involves facilitating learning platforms, supporting resource mobilization efforts, and enhancing collaboration among researchers and practitioners to ensure that research translates into impactful, scalable solutions.
