Short bio
I am a research-driven professional with a strong focus on public health, patient advocacy, and community-based interventions, particularly in the context of sickle cell disease and mental health. My work is grounded in improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations through integrated, patient-centered approaches that combine research, psychosocial support, and community engagement.
My research interests lie in medical virology, with a specific focus on the antiviral, immunomodulatory, and therapeutic potential of plant-based compounds in managing infections among individuals with chronic conditions. I am particularly interested in translating scientific research into practical, scalable solutions that can strengthen healthcare delivery in low-resource settings.
Through my engagement with the African Population and Health Research Center and the Consortium for Advanced Research Training in Africa Virtual Academies, I actively participate in capacity-building initiatives that enhance my skills in research methodology, scientific writing, and knowledge translation. These platforms have played a key role in strengthening my ability to contribute to high-impact research and collaborative learning across diverse disciplines.
