Mireille OUEDRAOGOMemberMy name is Dr. Mireille Ouedraogo, a research scientist from Burkina Faso. I hold a Ph.D. in Microbiology, Infectious Diseases, and Public Health, along with a Master’s degree in Immunology. I have over 4 years of working experience on the evaluation of the effectiveness and efficacy of vector control tools such as ITNs, IRS and entomological monitoring of vector-borne diseases such as Malaria, Lymphatic Filariasis, Onchocerciasis and arboviral infections, detecting and monitoring of Insecticide resistance against Malaria vectors.

I am currently pursuing a PhD at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. My research work involves interventions to improve oral PrEP use among adolescent girls and young women at risk of HIV infection, as we await availability of affordable long acting PrEP methods which are preferred by a proportion of these young women but not yet available.
