What Keeps You Motivated During Your Internship?

For me, what keeps me grounded during the quiet or confusing stretches is shifting from outcome-based motivation to skill-based motivation. When you’re waiting on direction or watching others land big projects, it's easy to feel stuck. But if I ask myself, "What’s one small tool, concept, or relationship I can understand better today?" it puts the control back in my hands.

Another huge motivator is finding a "learning buddy" or peer someone you can candidly check in with on those quiet days to keep each other accountable and sane!
