We may still be missing stronger capacities in translating evidence into actionable policy, communicating findings clearly to decision-makers, and building sustained engagement with policymakers beyond research publication. Strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration, policy analysis skills, and the ability to generate timely, context-specific evidence can also help bridge the gap between research and real-world policy influence.
