Dr. Magoba Ronald Arnold is an epidemiologist and public health specialist with over Seven years of experience in disease surveillance, infectious disease control, and health systems research. His work focuses on tuberculosis (TB) and HIV program management, outbreak detection and response, digital health innovations, and the application of epidemiological methods to strengthen public health systems in low- and middle-income countries. He recently completed his PhD research examining the impact of patient and healthcare system-related delays on tuberculosis management at Kenyatta National Hospital in Kenya. His broader research interests include infectious disease epidemiology, health systems strengthening, public health informatics, and the use of artificial intelligence and digital platforms to improve disease surveillance and response. Within the APHRC and CARTA Virtual Academies, Dr. Arnold is interested in engaging with interdisciplinary scholars to advance collaborative research, build capacity in data-driven public health, and contribute to innovative solutions that address major health challenges in Africa.
