Hello @all,
I'd like to gain some insights on a factor that often sits outside the usual contraceptive access conversation: provider attitudes and the clinic environment.
Even where contraceptives are stocked and free, adolescents frequently report judgmental providers, lack of confidentiality and fear of being turned away especially unmarried girls. This together with the many interrogations can deter uptake regardless of supply.
In your settings, how significant is the provider attitude barrier compared to other factors? And what approaches are working to make services more adolescent friendly? Remember this is a very big issue affecting access to adolescent mental health services too
